Consultancy

Helping organisations get it right matters.  Just as staff can often be the first to know that something is going wrong in an organisation, it is the organisation that is best placed to offer staff a real alternative to silence. This is why we have worked with organisations across the UK since our launch in 1993.

You hold the keys. If you do not make sure that your staff have safe and easy access to those with the authority to address a problem, inside and outside the organisation, you may only realise something is wrong after the damage is done.

We have 18 years unrivalled experience in the field and are a leading authority on public interest whistleblowing in Europe. Whether you are a small charitable organisation or a large company with international reach, our expert lawyers can help!

We can talk you through the issues and advise you how to set up your whistleblowing arrangements, helping you to meet best practice and comply with your legal requirements.  We know from speaking to thousands of people on our advice line -  often worried and concerned staff - how crucial messages are communicated and understood on the ground.  We run independent surveys and focus groups and help organisations respond practically to what staff tell them.  We can brief your Board, meet your union or staff representatives, and train the senior managers you designate under your policy.  Importantly, we can cast an independent eye over your approach, helping you audit the effectiveness of your whistleblowing arrangements and making sure they stay fresh and relevant over time.

While we are happy to provide consultancy as and when you need it, our support packages have been developed in response to what organisations have asked us to provide and to ensure staff have access to independent advice at any stage.  The Whistleblowing Advice Line is independent and confidential and serves to strengthen rather detract from internal arrangements.

Remember, Public Concern at Work is a registered charity directed by an unpaid Board of Trustees. All our funds are applied to our charitable purpose to make whistleblowing work in the public interest. Subscribing to us means you are tapping into a wealth of expertise and supporting an important charitable mission.
